After a short walk through the park you can access the Promenade leading onto a sandy/pebbled beach which is totally dog friendly year round at our end of the beach. (certain areas near the pier have restrictions in the summer) The Prom is accessible to buggies & wheelchairs due to it's flat surface. There are many eateries & kiosks along the way. Heading past the Pier - further along the prom towards the Spa Gardens & Fludyers Hotel before having to decide whether to ramble along the rugged beach or keep to the road passing Cobbold Point, Jacobs Ladder & Brackenbury along the way. Passing along beside the Old Felixstowe shore line towards Felixstowe Ferry Championship Links Golf Course, you'll find yourself in the AONB known as Felixstowe Ferry. Here you are able to catch a foot ferry across to Bawdsey or enjoy fish & chips at The Ferry cafe before either continuing along the rugged ferry coastline or heading back to Suffolk sands. Back at Suffolk Sands if you head in the other direction it leads you to Landguard Nature Reserve which is an ideal space for children & dogs to run around. A pathway leads you through the reserve towards the bird observatory & then onto Landguard Fort, Felixstowe Museum & Viewpoint.
