Advert Description

Late 60's Carlsbro CS60 TC guitar amp.

This was a project amp of mine having been purchased as non working. On inspection it was discovered that it was in desperate need of a re-valve and re-cap which is exactly what its had, plus the addition of adjustable bias so that the EL34's can be set up correctly. The amp is in full working order and has been PAT tested. Points to note:

• Casework is but has been recovered as it was in poor condition.
• Chassis in very good condition with wear commensurate with age.
• Matching set of original transformers and choke, all in excellent working condition.
• Matched pair of Marshall EL34s, bias checked and in excellent working order.
• Preamp valves are made up of a matching set of 3 Pinnacle ECC83s, all in excellent working order.
• All valves have been tested to be in good condition according to my Orange Valve Tester and have had their gradings affixed to the valves.
• All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced as the old ones were out of spec and noisy.
• The original bias circuitry has been upgraded to an adjustable bias circuit.
• The original potentiometers have been cleaned with switch cleaner and remain in good working order.
• The original non working lamp has been replaced with a suitable replacement of similar vintage.
• The original Bulgin mains socket has been replaced with a vintage, good condition IEC socket.
• Fuses checked and ensured to be of correct value.
• The amp has successfully passed a professional PAT test.

Not only does this amp look great, it sounds great too and delivers classic valve tone in spades. This amp would be perfect for the collector, studio owner, and could still do a turn as a gigging amp.
