Advert Description
Buddy bike side-by-side tandem
Built in Canada in 1980, this design harks back to the Edwardian "Sociable".
Riders sit side by side, both pedalling. The right-hand rider controls steering, brakes, and gear changing. Both saddles can be adjusted to suit different height riders.
This bike has been completely overhauled, including conversion to right-hand steering (originally left-hand).
It has six gears, powerful brakes, and is fitted with luggage carrier, mudguards, and the original side prop-stand.
As on the Edwardian Sociable, riders can see and talk to each other easily. Renowned cycle journalist Richard Ballantine described the Buddy Bike as a "complete stone gas". What more can I say?
